Hello everyone. It has been quite some time since I have written a blog, which I do apologize for. I have many things going on in my personal life health wise that keep's me away at times.
First off, let me thank my wonderful admins for keeping the group running so smoothly. Your help and dedication to the group means so very much. I couldn't do it without you all.
So everyone lets give a warm thank you to: and .
Now the reason for this journal. A Safe Haven was design and still is meant to be a place where all of you should feel safe, no matter what horrors you've been through. There are many horrors and I want to address the victims of one of them:
Rape
I came across this project..."I Am Brave Campaign" thanks to . She brought it to my attention last night. After watching it a couple of times I wanted to share this with the group.
The woman, Linor Abagil, made a documentation, called "Brave Miss World" after her own tragic experience. In 1998, Linor Abagil won the title of Miss World. But six weeks before the final and her coronation, she was raped. This film not only speaks about her experience but many others who are finally breaking the silence. It's about how rape can destroy a person even after years have passed and victims finally talking about their own experiences.
Here is the link www.bravemissworld.com/
It is a brave thing to do, being able to finally speak up. I know some people can't for their own reasons and may use other forms, like art hopefully to express themselves. It is hard, that is why I wanted to share this for those whom might be interested.
Sincerely,
DarlingAngel

Well, while I don't have candy, cake or oreos, I do have a contest. Contest? Did I say contest? Why yes I did! You've arrived at the wonderful home of what I like to term:
While the idea isn't entirely an original one, a few years ago I decided that I wanted to host a poetry contest that promotes the writing of poetry. And

DFC 2017 and the end of MJ's Anthology Contest III
From the ProjectDFC (https://www.deviantart.com/projectdfc) desk of Caek and Oreos, and with the express permission of her majesty kiwi-damnation (https://www.deviantart.com/kiwi-damnation) , I bring you some information as to the happenings of this year's DFC:
What's this kitten monster that's gonna eat all our toes and steal our children for a blood sacrifice plaything? Well, it's that creepy, crawly, "I will get under your skin like Baal and become you" thing that happens this time of the year. What time of year is that, do I hear you ask? Well...well...WELL...it's Christmasy/New Yearsy/DFC time! Yes! It's time again for ProjectDFC's annual challenge. It's time again for the:
Are you frightened? Are you scared out of

Why hello you lovely person checking my hair for lice...or maybe it's the skull fracture I got from the drama over the last few weeks you're looking for? Well, whatever it is, put down your lice comb or suture kit and listen up...because I have a treat for you. What type of treat you ask? Well, while I don't have candy, cake or oreos, I do have a contest. Contest? Did I say contest? Why yes I did! You've arrived at the wonderful home of what I like to term:
Why, Jo, isn't this the contest you host annually in April/May to celebrate your birthday? Yes, it is...but because I'm a sucker for punishment and have a bit of free time I thought - why
